The story told of the kingdom by Jesus in Matthew 18:23-35Matthew 18:23-35
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. 24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. talents: a talent is ounces of silver, at a hundred and eleven cents the ounce 25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. 26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. worshipped him: or, besought him 27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. 28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. pence: the Roman penny is the eighth part of an ounce, which after five shillings the ounce is seven pence halfpenny; about fourteen cents 29 And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 30 And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. 31 So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. 32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: 33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? 34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. 35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

, tells of a man whose debt was pardoned but went ahead to harass and imprison his colleague who owed him far less than he owed his master. When his master heard of it this is what he said before punishing him, ” Was it not right for you to have mercy on the other servant, even as I had mercy on you?” (Matthew 18:33Matthew 18:33

33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?

love_money_scaleThis servant wouldn’t have had problems forgiving the debt of his colleague if not for his Entitlement Mentality.

This Entitlement Mentality has put African nations, lots of Africans and most families/marriages in trouble. John Kennedy said..”Ask not what your country will do for you but what you will do for your country .

…How I believe one day I will hear husbands, wives, children, relatives, leaders and workers say selflessly, “I will live doing so and so for my spouse, my family, my country and generation till I die”.

Imagine an a world operating with that mindset. Every corner you look you find someone saying, “I owe my generation something great and I must spend my life making sure I pay it all up before I go to be with the Lord”. …After all said and done that is why we were born….To Serve.

says, “Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law”. (KJV)

To fulfill God’s law, we all have to pay the “Love Debt” we owe our families, communities and generation. The amnesty from the grip of sin and dead we enjoy as Born Again Believers was achieved by Jesus on the Cross through pain, let us therefore carry our cross daily and go about doing good as we take pains in patiently solving other peoples problems.

Love gives, love protects and provides for others. Think about the orphans who are ready recruits for the robbery job market and the young widow whose battered self worth is driving her to prostitution. What about that stigmatised pregnant teenager who just dropped out of school or the confused church member who has been taught that God is a magician and He needs nothing of us to provide for us….

You have been “Set Free to Live Under the Yoke of being your brothers keeper”..Don’t jump back into financial debt. Stay debt free and owe no man anything but LOVE…

…Please PASS ON to at least 5 people you love. God empower you to serve selflessly and expecting nothing in return from man in Jesus name
